Institutional Framework
The Public Relations and Media Department at the University of Technology is the primary body responsible for fostering and enriching mutual understanding and trust between the university and all its stakeholders. It also works to reflect and disseminate the university’s news and activities.
Duties and Competencies of the Director of the Public Relations and Media Department
The Director of the Public Relations and Media Department is appointed by the Chairman of the University Council upon the recommendation of the University President, for a term of four years, renewable, and shall have the following responsibilities:
The Director is accountable to the University President for managing the university’s public relations, cultural affairs, and media, and for achieving the department’s objectives.
The Director’s competencies are defined in the University’s Provisional Law of 2022 and the University’s Higher Administration Bylaws.
Perform any tasks assigned by the University President or their Deputy.
Duties of the Deputy Director of the Public Relations and Media Department:
The Deputy Director is appointed by the University President upon the recommendation of the Department Director, and is accountable to the Director of the Department. Their responsibilities include:
Assisting the Director in managing the affairs of the Public Relations and Media Department in coordination with the Heads of Divisions.
Acting on behalf of the Director during their absence.
Monitoring and supervising the performance of the Heads of Divisions.
Performing any tasks assigned by the Department Director.
