Overview of the Public Relations and Media Department divisions and their roles in enhancing communication and supporting the university’s institutional image.

University Media and Communication Department

This department carries out regular tasks in addition to responsibilities that arise according to university activities, including:

  • Issuing introductory publications about the university in both Arabic and English.

  • Supervising the university’s website and social media platforms by providing news and updates in Arabic and English.

  • Overseeing the university’s official email and monitoring the university’s general mailbox.

  • Supervising the publication of university news, announcements, and articles in newspapers and various media outlets.

  • Supervising text messages sent to university staff through telecommunications companies.

  • Following up and covering meetings, projects, and training courses at the university.

  • Following up and covering the participation of faculties, units, centers, and university departments in community activities within the framework of community service.

  • Issuing university calendars and branded materials to be presented as gifts to visitors.

  • Preparing stamps for faculties and centers.

Cultural Relations Department

  • Representing the university in national media to speak about various university events.

  • Supervising the university’s scientific participation in conferences, seminars, and workshops locally and internationally.

  • Overseeing the signing of cooperation agreements and memoranda of understanding with academic and research institutions locally and internationally.

  • Informing faculty members—through college and center coordinators—about available academic and research opportunities through agreements signed with regional and international universities.

  • Following up on the progress of agreements, finalizing their signatures, and disseminating them to university staff.

  • Coordinating between various university departments and external institutions with which the university has agreements.

  • Following up on the university’s status in regional and international unions regarding membership and subscription payments.

  • Chairing several internal committees for different tasks such as the committee for preparing books and university publications, the electronic archiving committee for external agreements, and any committee with outreach activities.

  • Supervising the organization of lectures, seminars, and cultural events held by the university.

Protocol Department

  • Covering protocol-related activities.

  • Supervising the media committee responsible for the university’s graduation carnivals.

  • Covering cultural days of the university’s faculties and centers according to the cultural activities system, in cooperation with the Deanship of Student Affairs, academic and cultural associations, faculties/institutes/centers/schools, and in coordination with the Cultural Relations Department.

  • Preparing an archive of all media coverage related to the university’s internal and external activities.

  • Meeting with cultural attachés of various embassies to initiate cooperation frameworks.

  • Communicating with embassies and foreign communities and signing cooperation agreements that serve the university and the educational process, in coordination with the Cultural Relations Department.

Financial and Administrative Affairs Department

  • Completing all financial, administrative, and official correspondence related to the department.

  • Implementing financial and administrative regulations for the department’s staff.

  • Preparing the department’s budget and managing expenditures according to its various items.

  • Supervising purchases and performing maintenance related to the department.

  • Ensuring full coordination between the department’s divisions and other university departments and units.
