Towards a Future Built by Technology
alfredo torres (8)

In the name of Allah, whose blessings complete all good deeds, and by His grace, favor, and generosity, needs are fulfilled and mercy descends. To my students, both male and female, and to all members of the Technological University, across all categories and positions:

The Technological University has a rich history of growth and development. It was initially established as the Khartoum Technical College in 1991, laying the foundation for technical and vocational education in the Greater Khartoum area. Over the course of three decades, it served as a vibrant training ground for students seeking to acquire technical and engineering skills.

In 2018, the college was elevated to university status, marking a significant milestone in its history. This transition into a fully-fledged technological university reflects a commitment to expanding academic programs and embracing a broader range of disciplines. Today, the Technological University proudly hosts faculties covering diverse academic fields, including: the Faculty of Business Studies, the Faculty of Civil and Electrical Engineering, the Faculty of Architecture, the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology, the Faculty of Information Systems, the Faculty of Nursing, and the Faculty of Law, in addition to other departments and schools within these faculties.

This diversity enables the university to offer a wide range of academic programs, providing students with ample opportunities for study and specialization. Currently, the university offers four types of undergraduate degrees: the Intermediate Diploma, Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Science with Honors, and Bachelor of Engineering with Honors. This comprehensive structure allows students to pursue varied educational paths based on their interests and professional goals.

Since 2022, the university has taken an important step forward by establishing the Graduate Studies Faculty, signaling its commitment to advanced academic research and higher education. The university plans to offer three types of postgraduate degrees: the Higher Diploma, Master’s, and Doctorate. This expansion in higher education is expected to attract a wider student body, enhance academic research, and contribute to knowledge across multiple fields.

My dear students and colleagues at the Technological University, education is one of the essential pillars for the existence of nations and serves as a key driver for a nation’s development and reconstruction. No matter how difficult the circumstances, the university’s mission guides us to provide flexible, high-quality education accessible to all segments of society.

We pray to Allah Almighty to help us achieve the ambitions of our country, advance in the fields of science and learning, achieve further progress and prosperity, and enable the Technological University to attain distinguished ranks among comparable universities worldwide, and may Allah guide everyone to what He loves and is pleased with.

And Allah is the ultimate guide to the right path.

President of the Technological University
Professor Ahmed Abdelkader Adam
